What if the force that destroyed Atlantis so utterly it became just a myth, is real and its back to threaten our present world?
Former Green Beret Eric Dane teams up with the mysterious Sin Fen, a woman with powers he can’t quite understand, to fight the dark Shadow that is poised to destroy our world across timelines.
All around the planet, at the junction of ley lines and where tectonic plates join, interdimensional gates are opening, letting the dark Shadow into our world, threatening the very planet itself.
This war is taking place between worlds and across time. In the year 1,000 AD, a fearsome Viking warrior, Ragnarok, must protect a Seer from Valkyries, Kraken and other forces of legend and help her on a quest that connects through those gates to Dane’s battle in the present.
Can Dane, Sin Fen, the Viking and the Seer, combine forces across a millennium to save the planet?

Atlantis Bermuda Triangle eBook Bob Mayer
Being a fan of Bob Mayer from the Area 51 and Green Beret series (both very good by the way) I got exactly what I was expecting from him. Atlantis and Atlantis Bermuda Triangle the first two in this series have been well executed. In essence you are actually getting two stories rolled into one. The writer tells this story built around the legend/myth of Atlantis from two perspectives. One based in in the early history of the world Vikings included and the present with the Bermuda Triangle and other similar areas as malevolent events bent on the destruction of the world. While not having as fast paced action as his other offerings he has a balance between action and suspense. Some very interesting characters arise in this adventure of the supernatural. Well worth the time and expense as both books were very entertaining. I am of to book three in the series til my next review, chow dudesProduct details

Atlantis Bermuda Triangle eBook Bob Mayer Reviews
I've always loved Doherty's books. And this book, Atlantis - Bermuda Triangle - has a great storyline.
Here's the problem - it is unbelievable how many spelling errors there are in the version of this novel. I'm not exaggerating when I say that you can hardly get through 3 pages on-screen without finding one. Now, I'm no professional proofreader (maybe I should be), but that many errors is inexcusable. It completely disrupts the flow of the book, your brain having to decipher what in the world you just read.
And twice, believe it or not, the book had the wrong character talking! In a conversation between Dane and Sin Fen, all of a sudden Ariana was speaking, even though she wasn't in the "scene." Then it reverted back to Sin Fen. The second had a recently-dead captain speaking (about himself, I might add), then reverted back to the one that the reader KNEW to be alive and in the current conversation. I mean, c'mon, proofreaders...seriously?
I'd recommend this book to Doherty fans, but be prepared to jump through some mental hoops as you navigate the ungodly amount of errors.
The first four books occur in one timeline primarily and are focused on a single threat being made to the world and how to defend against it. These books are probably the easiest to follow and really build up the characters.
The last two books deal with how to defeat the threat being made. These books have two or even three stories going at once and are a bit confusing at times. I think the biggest issues is that sometimes the concurrent stories are given to much precedence in comparison with the main story. There is great detail given to some aspect of these stories that could be better used progressing the main story line.
I found the ending to the entire conflict to be a little short. It's pretty clear what happens to most of the main characters but nothing is really mentioned about the conflict as a whole other than it is finished.
The series as a whole is quite interesting though. There wasn't as much in respect to Atlantis as I figured there would be when I started the series but it still works. If you like a story that takes place over different times, deals with places like the Bermuda Triangle and the Nazca Lines, and maybe even takes you to other worlds then this is a series that would probably interest you.
"AtlantisBermuda Triangle" is a strong follow-up novel to the first in the series, "Atlantis". This time the story consists of two narratives of a quest to save the world, one in 999 AD and the other in the present (1999 AD). The past narrative features a Viking named Ragnarok and an asian priestess, Tam Nok. The present narrative features all the surviving characters from "Atlantis". The main story in both timelines concerns the attempts by some "Other" to invade our world for some unknown purpose through "gates", one of which we know as the Bermuda Triangle. The novel is an interesting blend of historical science fiction and fantasy. The author gets some of the science in his science fiction right, and some wrong, but not egregiously so.
But as in the first novel I downloaded for directly from , there are an absolutely incredible number of typos, missing words, extraneous words, apostrophe's randomly scattered throughout and spelling errors. In places the text appears to have been input from a scanned copy of printed text run through an optical character reader, and then just placed into a formatter. There does not seem to have been ANY proofreading at all.
On top of this, as strong as this novel (or series) is on plot, there is essentially zero character development, and the author has several technical writing problems including inappropriate uses of hyphenated words that are actually real words without hyphens, repeatedly ending sentences with prepositions, and subject-verb mismatch errors.
However, the plotting remains strong, and the last 10% of the book occurs with rapid switches back and forth between 999 and 1999, and is well paced as the two timelines converge. I guess I'm stuck with trying book number 3 because now I really want to see how it ends.

The Shadow is trying to destroy our world. There are "gates" where it is trying to come through. There are monsters from the old histories, new sciences, disappearing and reappearing ships and men, Earth is threatened with complete destruction. Dane, Sin Fen, Foreman and others past and present are trying to stop it. Very fast moving story. Unfortunately a lot of typos. In one instance a page is repeated. in another, 3 centuries is NOT three thousand years. Should have been spotted and corrected early on.
However, still giving a 5 because of the excellent story line.
