If you're looking for something you can read in an afternoon, this is it. It's quick, it's happy, it's realistic. While I have read These Are the Moments, to which this book is a prequel, reading TATM is not necessary for enjoying this book.For those of you who have read TATM, this book is written in the POV of Claudia, Wendy's younger sister. Instead of this story focusing on Simon and Wendy's relationship, this short story (it's not even novella length), explores how Wendy's relationship with Simon affected Claudia's willingness to enter the dating world.
It's a sweet little story, but it's certainly not the length I expected for the price. Even at the "low" price of $2.99, I think the story should have been a little bit longer for that price. That said, I like to support indie authors, and authors that write high quality books, and Jenny Bravo does that.

Such an enjoyable read, especially for those who've already read Bravo's full-length novel "These Are The Moments". I'd highly recommend picking this up if you're a fan of all things John Green or Rainbow Rowell. You won't be disappointed!
I chose this rating because the book was a really good book for teens like me and I love how it turned out. I love the part when the 2 girls put flamingos in one of the girls ex boyfriend's house😂. I definitely recommend this book to you, it is funny at times, romantic at times, and as I read it I felt more and more feelings reading on.
Sweet, short story of life. Claudia is a young woman and as such, has all the normal problems with boys, family and friends that we all go through. The author takes readers into Claudia's life and all the problems faced. The author also gives readers a sweet read as Claudia slowly learns how to solve the problems. Great little story of life, love and heartache.
Those Were the Days is a prequel to These Are the Moments told in the perspective of Wendy's younger sister, Claudia. As she vows to herself that she will never fall in love, this promise is challenged when she faces the feelings she has for her best friend, Casey.
As an outsider, Claudia's perspective gives readers the chance to see how Wendy and Simon's relationship indirectly affected the people around them. The novella's quick pace along with its distinct tone of teenage uncertainty makes this story a perfect fit for the young adult audience.
I love these little short stories between the novels. It makes me so excited to have them available as I often find myself wondering about different characters' stories. Especially when you find such rich characters, you want to know all about them and why they are the way they are. It was wonderful to learn about the more stoic and mysterious Claudia. These short stories are the perfect companion stories to These Are the Moments and That Was the Year.
There's something about Jenny's writing that transports me back to my time in high school, when all it took was a simple smile from a cute boy to make my heart skip a beat. I really enjoyed her debut novel, These Are The Moments and bought this one as soon as it was released, devouring it in one sitting. It's a great lead in to the story of the Lake sisters and, more importantly, what it's like to navigate your first love.
Grab a cup of tea and get comfy, because you're sure to read this book in one go,
Short yet so well written. Casey is ready to become the "BF" instead of Claudia's BFF, but it's nothing she's ever truly contemplated. I wanted Claudia to hurry up and reconsider because Jenny Bravo made him so darned likeable!
But with gentle consideration came a secondary plot involving Claudia's older sister, newly graduated from college. Life's changing at a rapid pace for both of them, but they are resisting and it's so lovely to unearth the problem.
Short, but totally engaging.
