is such a frightening book, it has the guts to say change is needed.
Now. None of the scenarios posed in this book seem too far removed from
possibilities. That's what is scary.

There have been lots of books dealing with terrorism both pre and post 9-11, none have had the guts to go where this one has. At least none that I have read. A dark look into terrorism and the methods used to combat it, one that I suspect hits closer to the truth than a million seasons of televised drama programming put together.
This spy thriller/horror novel/police mystery although hard to "button
hole" into a specific genre does something that many other books that
are so neatly categorized don't....entertain. I was engrossed and became
invested in the main character Floyd that by page 20 I felt I had been
reading his adventures for years. A new hero is born.
A new spy master is on the scene and his name is Floyd. Hervejaubert has
brought a new type of hero to the literary world. One that is honorable,
dedicated and the best at what he does, the difference? He is not
perfect. This novel wreaks of truth and because of that, it just may be
the scariest thing you read all year.
A tale of intrigue is an understatement. Ticking time bombs, plenty of suspense and heroism abound in this race against time. A race that was neck and neck until one side "won?" I guess you could say won...Mr Jaubert is a brave enough author to challenge his readers and make them think about rather important ideas and our tendency to take them for granted.
A lot of interesting details about jihad,terrorism,LNG, and international travel. I like the incite but Mr. Jaubert may let his annoyance with Islam and Arabs over color his narrative. Still the book is well worth reading.
This book scared me half to death. The
author has written something so terrifying that one of the good guys will
haunt your dreams. One of the heroes, a Mr. Smith is a creation that you
fear is real, with a name like Mr. Smith you expect him to be
forgettable... he is not. You will be able to close your eyes and see/hear
this man do his necessary yet horrifying work for weeks after meeting
him. Read this and be frightened.
As a fan of the spy thriller genre it is so refreshing to read a tale not only told by someone who obviously has knowledge of the inner workings of anti terror organizations...lots of folks have that, Mr. jaubert has the innate ability to tell a story full of details without resorting to flowery overproduced phrases to get his point across. This is a tight, believable truly terrifying story and I urge you to read it.
